Dear Graeme,

Thanks very much for your positive response, and for your valuable comments. Sorry it took a while for your comment to come up - yours was the first comment in English, and we had a couple of template teething problems getting the bilingualism working properly!

I'll email you in a bit, and look forward to talking to you soon,

All the best,

Aran

Reading through this weeks Herald I came across the article referencing this site and the work that it aims to achieve. Although not a shop retailer I am looking to promote my business further in the area. In addition I can offer engraved products (Some shops in town have my Brass push plates with Croeso/Welcome and a Dragon) and signage.

At present my Welsh is very poor, however I aim to immerse my self this summer as I feel this is an essential part of trading in the area.

As to my personal view on the area. The Council have completely missed the point of Pwllheli. You can’t get away from the location and history of the place, it is a seaside town and needs to embrace this fact. Too many people see Pwllheli as a bottle neck on the way to Abersoch. Pwllheli would benefit from a coherent branding policy/guidelines with regards to the asthetic look of the town e.g. discourage the bling signage and get back to more of the traditional hanging signs. More needs to be made of the North Key area, a whole new can of worms….

Empty shops add to the despair, and should be utilised in the same manner as the windows to the rear of the Conservative club (over looking Copi). This would give the appearance of a more prosperous area and possibly encourage more new and thriving businesses.

Yup I’ve just got started, but I feel strongly for the area and look forward to contributing and making Pwllheli more of a community

Regards
