First rugby game of 2008.
This has been a difficult season so far in more ways than one. The Rugby World Cup and the Six Nations Championship has meant a fragmented fixture list. The situation has been worsened by the withdrawal of Bangor, inclement weather before Christmas and the inability of more than one team to fulfill their fixtures.
The result is that the team have not played at home since 11th November 2007, a period of more than 4 months. As you can imagine this has had an adverse effect on the income generated by the Club.More importantly it has been very difficult for players to maintain focus whenthere have been so many Saturdays without games. At least now the fixture list is full each Saturday until May 3-and possibly beyond!!!!
Saturday’s game will be no walkover and we expect a hard match against COBRA. After losing our 100% record in our last game away at Bethesda the team need to bounce back straight away in order to maintain the pressure on the other teams near the top of the table.
Come and support the team and the Club in the final push towards promotion back to Division 4. As usual 2.30 K.O.
